In this 2-day course participants learn the basics of the Rhythmic Movement Training: how rhythmic movements can be used to assist in regulating muscle tone; stimulating the connections between the cerebellum and the neo-cortex, especially the frontal lobes in order to improve attention and control impulses. The course also includes examining the role of the primitive reflexes in development, and how to integrate them using rhythmic movements and isometric pressure.

 

There is no pre-requisite for this course.

RMTi for Emotions, Memory and Behaviour

(Level 2)

This 1-day course addresses how the Rhythmic Movement Training affects our emotions, how to work with movements to get in touch with our emotions and to stabilise them when they threaten to take control. It also examines how stress and daily life affects our body and how the rhythmic movements can help to relax and ease muscle tension. It is a necessary supplement for anyone who wishes to work with rhythmic movement training.

 

Pre-requisite: RMT One

RMTi for Reading and Writing

(Level 3)

This 2-day course deals with how reading and writing ability is affected by various factors such as our vision, our ability to recognise the sounds of language and ou motor ability. Topics included in this course:

  • Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex

  • Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex

  • Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex

  • Hand Reflexes: Grasp, Babkin, Hand Pulling

  • Visual development and challenges

  • Neural Patterns for Reading ​

Includes illustrated manual, certificate and refreshments.

 

Pre – Requisite RMT 1 & preferably 2

Mornington     9.00am - 5.30pm each day

Level One + Two: $670 or

Level One: $475, 

Level Two: $275

Level Three: $460
